Announcment text

The sailor dreams.
And overboard under the bow under the white flesh of the white belly of the white beast a boy sinks into the ocean.

His mouth a circle
His eyes a hole
The corals are specters
the sand is a maw

A young man stands in a dimly lit room surrounded by white fabric sheets and hanging nets, wearing waterproof boots, rabbit-like overalls, and a casual t-shirt, gazing thoughtfully into the distance. It is an image of Hugo Tiedje.

“sehkrank” (seesick), was conceptualized as a "delusionplay” about the body and the nothing, after Herman Melvilles “Moby Dick” and drawing heavy influences from psychoanalytic theory.

Collectively created by Rudi Grieser, Hugo Tiedje, Jeannine Fischbacher and Rosanna Löw

Ingrid Israel, Manfred Böll, Gerd Heinz, Helmut Grieser and Rudi Grieser staged Ernst Jandls surrealist and absurdist play “Die Humanisten” (The Humanists) at the small stage of the E-Werk Freiburg.

The two figures, Professoren and Kunstlern (“artisten”), are read through the prism of aging, times changing and history continuing although it does not.

Come, we go. We go away. Out of this time and into another one. We have too few words for too much world, but I hear an echo of the wind, of the tides, the gritting of gravel under our feet. We are almost there.

“my heart is blinking like machines that die” is a space-fairytale specifically written for the acting youth club of the year 2021, admist the crisis of the Corona pandemic and the curtailing of citizen rights by the government. Unable to reliably perform on stage, the decision was made to create a radio drama.

The drama follows a couple of childish testsubjects, thrown into an enviroment they can not comprehend. Birth and abandonment, softness and transformation were guiding themes.
